„Mam astmę, ale nie żyję już w ciągłym strachu o każdy oddech.”
Pracuje w korporacji. Astma, stres i swobodniejszy oddech.
A few years ago, I was struggling with various health issues before finally receiving a diagnosis that completely changed my life: asthma.
I didn’t take it well. I felt lost, frustrated, and sorry for myself. Life suddenly became black and white, and I couldn’t imagine enjoying the things I loved without constantly worrying about my breathing. I tried different treatments, but I still felt like something was missing. Eventually, I started believing that this was simply how my life would be from now on.
Until one day, I came across a post on Facebook.
I had always been sceptical about anything that sounded like a “miracle treatment,” but for some reason, this time I decided to reach out. I had a strong feeling that “this is what I need.” After consultations, discussions, and careful analysis, we began working together on my breathing.
Over the past year, Marzena has guided me through a journey of understanding my breathing patterns, CO₂ tolerance, the role of the nervous system and the vagus nerve, and how all these things can influence the way I feel and breathe. She has been patient, attentive, and supportive throughout the process.
The progress didn’t happen overnight. It came step by step.
I started sleeping better. Cold air became less frightening. Stairs stopped feeling like something I had to mentally prepare for, and I became less anxious about my breathing. Slowly, I started getting parts of my life back that I thought I had lost.
Today, I can go to the gym, swim, hike in the mountains, and even reach high peaks. I no longer need my rescue inhaler every day, although I still have asthma and continue my prescribed treatment.
But the biggest change has been in my mind. I no longer live with the same constant fear. I have hope again, and I can finally enjoy life instead of simply worrying about getting through the day.
I wouldn’t call this magic. For me, it has been about understanding my body, learning to work with my breathing, and making consistent progress with the right guidance.
I will forever be grateful to Marzena for helping me find my way back to life. For giving me hope when I had almost lost it, for helping me believe in my body again, and for reminding me that asthma doesn’t have to define the way I live. You didn’t just help me breathe more freely; you helped me dream again, enjoy life again, and become the person I thought I had lost along the way.
